Painting a Seascape

Read Time:1 Minute, 4 Second

This is a quick sketch, or a painting of a seascape at Monterey. I stayed indoors today, and created a way to bring the beach indoors. In the light of that, I also used this chance to share how I painted, as well as what colors I chose for todays’ scene. Here we see that the colors represented a sunny day, such as the colors teal, ultramarine blue, yellow ochre, burnt umber, and some white and black. I painted with acrylics and oil pastels. It is a quick painting of a seascape by the bay, moreover, a variety of mediums were used.

In my observations of this seascape, I notice that during the mornings I see heavy fog or clouds. In contrast, especially at high noon, the sky is blue and sunny. Continuing on, though the day, the afternoon seascape presents a yellowish-orange sky. Finally, during the evening, I see the dark sky with twinkles of light in the distant.
